I tried performing the assignment Michael Willems set on his photography blog here.
His instructions were to shoot twelve photos in your living room using a 50mm F1.8 lens in available light. Then to present them as a 3 x 4 arrangement.
I uploaded my result to Flickr:
I don’t have a 50mm F1.8 lens so I used my Canon 50mm F2.5 “Compact Macro” instead. I tried to keep the shutter speed above 1/50 second by varying the ISO speed between 400 and 800. I wanted a shallow depth of field so I shot at F2.5 or F2.8.
It was great fun. As Michael said – once you get started there are so many possibilities to “fill the frame”.
