Few venture inside, but they are missing something special. I posted some pictures to my Flickr photostream here and more to PicasaWeb here (for a month or so).

There is a short article about the temple on Wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wat_Pathum_Wanaram.

Wat Bang Na Yai – Bangkok

Wat Bang Na Nai

I see this temple from the expressway, but this is the first time I have visited. It is beautiful and serene, even though it is close to the city.

I have more pictures of Wat Bang Na Yai at picasaweb.google.com/the.bangkok.photographer/20090816#

The colour balance is a result of me trying the “Vivid” setting in the Picture Control menu of the Nikon Coolpix P6000. I think it looks over processed – the colours were pretty saturated anyway and the camera over-accentuated them. But maybe it is a popular “look”.

I should have shot in RAW and had more latitude to adjust in Lightroom and Photoshop.
